Background

Info As a new direction for the development of information communication technology, IoT is recognized as an important engine of future economic development. It is expected that in the next decade the global IoT will achieve large-scale popularization; the average annual compound growth rate will remain at about 20%. By 2022, the global IoT market is expected to reach about $ 2.3 trillion.

As one of the earliest countries to develop IoT, China’s IoT industry has maintained steady growth in the past years, making it very competitive. In Jan. 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the 13th 5-Year Plan for IoT, making clear the IoT industry’s development goals in the 13th 5-year plan period. In June 2017, the notice of Promoting the Building and Development of NB-IoT in an All-round Way released by General Office of MIIT facilitated the development of IoT in China. However, China’s IoT still has many problems, such as the weak core R&D capabilities, diversified standard systems, insufficient industry integration and network security risks. To seize the great opportunities that come along with IoT, enterprises must take advantage of the trend and situation and take action as early as possible to seize the commanding heights of future development.

The summit will take root in the Chinese market, focus on the core technologies and application of IoT, discuss the current problems in China’s IoT market, in order to promote the in-depth integration of IoT and economy, achieve industrial upgrading and sustainable development.
