BEIJING-China'sentertainmentandmedia(E&M)industrieswillcontinuetoseerobustgrowthinthenextfiveyears,according toaprivatereport.

GlobalaccountingfirmPwCWednesdaypredictedinareportthatthecombinedE&Mrevenuewouldexpandatacompoundannualgrowthrateof7.2percentfromthisyearuntil2022toreach$343billion.

Thegrowthpaceissubstantiallyhigherthanthe4.4percentglobalaverage.

Internetvideo,onlineadvertisingandvideo gameswillleadthetrend,withprojectedgrowthof16.3percent,11.8percentand9.7percent,respectively.Thefilmindustrywillalsoseevigorousexpansion.

ThereportsaidtheInternetwouldcontinuetoserveasamajordrivingforcefortheE&Mindustriesaswidespreadmobilenetworksandevolvingdigitaltechnologyhadcreatedenormousdevelopmentpotential.

Generallyunaffectedbyaslowdowninthebroadereconomy,theE&Msectorshavesproutedintoasignificantsegmentofthetertiary industryandplayedamajorroleinboostingconsumption.

Chinahasbecometheworld'ssecondlargestonlineadvertisingmarketandovertakentheUnitedStatestohavethemostmoviescreens,andboastsahugepopulationofvideogameplayers.Themarketsforfee-basedmusicandothercontentarealsoonafast trackthankstostrengthenedprotectionofintellectualproperty.
